So I spent this past weekend in Berkeley visiting a couple of friends. Unsurprisingly, I took a few pictures down there and a few of them turned out alright. I also did some infrared shooting. They didn't turn out as well as I'd have liked because I have to shoot infrared photos while holding the filter in front of a crappy point and shoot camera. This creates a lot of noise, images that aren't particularly crisp, or well composed. Nonetheless a couple turned out acceptably, but nothing I'm particularly proud of. Here's one of the better ones: 

Additionally, I saw Cloud Atlas while I down there. The critics don't seem to like it but I thought it was fantastic. I highly recommend it if you like good value; it's essentially six movies rolled into one. You have a murder mystery, sci-fi action, drama, comedy, and a couple that are in between. This is a mighty claim, but I'd liken it to the Orange Box, both in quality and value.
